It came to our attention that some of our clients are facing some problems when sending emails. The reason is due to a recent upgrade on your server (in cPanel)  where email clients such as Apple Mail, Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird are required to securely connect to the server through SSL. This improves the security from your device(s) to the server where your email password could be intercepted by a 3rd party if SSL was disabled.

The following standard settings are required to be set from your end under your SMTP settings:

  • SMTP Port: 465
  • SSL Enabled (this is a must!)
  • SSL Type: SSL / TLS - you may need to test which one works for you
  • SMTP Authentication Enabled (also a must!)

Please note that the hostname does not change. If the settings above are not followed, you may not be able to send emails from your email clients.

For more information, please contact our support team and they will be happy to help you to fix this problem.

If you are able to send emails normally, this means that you already have SSL/TLS active in your email client so please disregard this message.

We now offer Remote Support as part of our premium service through TeamViewer.
